Welcome to the Marketplace

Help to grow the Marketplace collection!
We'd like to expand our collection—please take a moment now and submit your foundation's best work. Your colleagues will appreciate your contributions.

New in the Marketplace:

CHARITABLE IRA EXTENDED THROUGH 2011
As part of the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization and Job Creation Act of 2010, Congress passed a two-year extension of Charitable IRA legislation first enacted for 2006 and 2007.

Please localize and distribute the press release to your local media today.

Additional Charitable IRA materials, updated with new statistics and references, are now posted here.

Use the tools in this Charitable IRA portfolio to:

Update board and staff. Let them know about the provision affecting your community foundation, and ask them to spread the word with their professional advisors and personal contacts.

Alert professional advisors. Send a mailing to all professional advisors on your mailing list. Most are engaged in year-end planning with clients now, so do this as soon as possible.

Inform donors and prospects. Send a mailing to current and prospective donors. Many will only be aware of this opportunity if you share the news.

This is an excellent opportunity to position executive leaders with local media and generate new gifts. Please act now.
